Well this is where I talk about me for a little bit. I shall just expand on what I said on my home page.
Well, first off, I have been breeding and showing rabbits my own since I was 8 years old, and some of my
favorite memories include showing my rabbits with my friend Mark, who I am still close to. I started helping my mom put
her rabbits on the table. That was way back when she had Mini Lops, English Lops and French Lops (who all felt like they were
as big as I was). Soon after I started to train dogs in obedience, which I still do now, and handle for others.
I also love to play my guitar and viola and when possible, cello as well.
I got Reno as a dog to show in juinor showmanship in the AKC which lead me showing American Staffordshire
Terriers (Am Staff) in the breed ring for my trainer, and that is where I have been showing since I aged out of juinors.
That is also where my heart is in the dog breeds and I am still waiting for my Am Staff puppy to come.
I discovered about 3 years ago how easy rabbits were to train when I had to clicker train an animal
at home for a school project. I had always know that you could litter train a rabbit, which I do, but I never knew that you
could teach them comands. I started with Drusilla, and while her first litter (Topper) was growing I trained her. Now,
all my rabbits know their names and the comand "come", so when they run around the house they are much easier to catch when
needed. Any rabbit that leave our house will know the comands stop, say and come (if they listen to their new owners is a
different story).
I meet my husband Tim while I was in school. As we were dating he started to join me with the rabbit shows
and was helping me put my rabbits up on the table. He has come to love the rabbits and the people in the world as much as
I have and at the hamburg show on September 16, 2006 Tim got his first rabbit a Mini Rex he named Smokey. Smokey is his
little buddy and its so cute to watch them sit on the computer together and play games. Tim recently has gotten in to
Polish and well, what can I say his Polish are his Polish. They love him to death. They just like the treats that I bring
them.
Well now I would like to thank a few people who have impacted my life greatly. TIm, Bridget, Kelly and Scotty,
my best friends for life who have encouraged me to keep going towards my goals and support me 110%. I love you all very
much. My Mom, my Aunt Jaye, My grandmother and my Uncle Fuzzy who have taken me to the many rabbit shows, 4-h
meetings and breeders houses. I wouldn't have been able to make it this far and have such nice stock if it wasn't for
your lessons, support, strength and love (and we can't forget car, gas and drivers license). I also like to say
thank you to Nichole for letting me have some excelent stock and helping me get back into NDs. You will be greatly missed
in the rabbit world. We hope you are able to come back soon!! And Thank you Elaine Lewis of Blue Diamond Rabbitry for helping
me get stared in Otters and for the wonderful rabbits you have sold me. Thank you so much, all of you. I hold you all
close in my heart right with all my animals.
I would also like to thank some of my past animals who have gone over to the rainbow bridge. Fall, one of my
first rabbits, a Castor Rex that wasn't really a Castor (we still don't know what color he was) and had a chunk missing
out of his ear, I learned so much on him. Marshmallow, my first Blue Eyed White dwarf, the one who started all of the
breeding and convinved me to learn about color genetics. There is Abagail, my Blue doe that gave me so much, including Shem
my Lynx suprise in a litter, who I also miss and convinced me to learn more about genetic. There was Blair, who convinced
me to learn about the many rabbit dieseases. And last but not least Montana, my first dog, a bi-black Sheltie who had epilepsy.
Together we got his CD title, CGC title, TDI title, have some very happy memories and defeated the odds. I miss you guys all
very much.
